Equipment

In the spring of 2015, Mega purchased 5 brand new Toyota model 8FGCU25 LP powered lift trucks, 3 equipped with 48” forks and 2 equipped with 60” forks. Each machine has a lift capacity of 1905kg (4200lbs). These lift trucks are all equipped with an automatic fork levelling systems and an Allied Longreach side shifting fork positioning system allowing the operator to change the fork span without leaving his seat. These new machines have proven greatly beneficial for their ease of use and reliability.

In addition to 5 new lift trucks, Mega is also leasing a Toyota model 7FGCU70 lift truck with a lift capacity of 6000kg (13,100lbs). This lift truck has 96” forks and with its high lift capacity, allows us to manage virtually any cargo we could see.

Mega currently owns five Clark tractors. Two tractors are diesel powered and the other is gas powered. The towing capacity for the Clark diesels is 35,000 kg while the towing capacity for the Clark gas is 20,000 kg. The tractors are under the preventative maintenance program under the direction of Air Canada.

The platform scales enable Mega to accurately measure all ULD’s up to 20,000 KG with an accuracy of 5kg. The scale is equipped with a computer print out. The calibration is preformed every quarter combined with a daily inspection.

In addition to our platform scales we also provide floor scales that can accommodate up to 2500kg and has an accuracy of .5kg. The scale is equipped with a computer print out. The calibration is preformed every quarter combined with a daily inspection.

The lift table (Bypass) ensures that all ULD’s can be handled safely and reduce the risk of damage to the ULD between the ULD carriers and the transportation mode. Our lift table is on a scheduled maintenance program to guarantee reliability. The maximum load for the lift table is 15,000 kg.
